Grace in the Valley
On the weekend of the 30th June – 1st July 2001 Our Lady of Grace Parish, Heretaunga celebrated its golden jubilee. As part of those celebrations the Parish embarked on producing a record of the history of the parish as it had existed for the past 50 years. Mary Fouhy, a long time parishioner, was engaged to collect and write the work.
This book gives insights into the development of the Catholic community in the Heretaunga area, along with historical information and personal memories and stories of Catholic families of the past and present.
Copies of the publication are still available for sale from the Parish Office.
This publication provides a set of general information about our Parish and also about some general practices of the Roman Catholic Church. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Parish Priest with your enquiry.
